Glitter Goddess of the Sunset Strip (1993)

(Co-starring Angela Bowie; script by Llana Lloyd; a Warped Humor production; directed by Dick Campbell)

Llana Lloyd has two bombshells to drop in this autobiographical docudramedy of her sometimes dysfunctional upbringing and her wild days as a 70s groupie. She handles it by playing both herself and her mom! To make the circle complete, Llana's darling daughter plays Llana as a toddler.
When her mother found that Llana's dad was a schizophrenic, she realized she would have to bring up her little girl by herself... until she found the gal of her dreams -- well, the first at least!
Llana would grow up with a series of butch, unofficial step-moms, who each had their hard-drinking ups & downs with her biological mother. All these on-the-edge adventures gave her a taste of the wild life... with Alice, Bowie and other rockers, once she makes it to Hollywood.
Film Threat sez: "Her subtle metamorphosis from victim to super-groupie gives an enlightening 'hang onto yourself' kinda exhibitionism which glorifies the narcissistic 70s."
Sesame Street Fever, neo-Brady media, stacked heels at the mall, all the silver lame in the world can't bring back the acid trip of the Seventies like The Glitter Goddess herself:
The raging, volcanic underground movie has finally cracked the surface -- Totally outrageous! -- Exposes the sordid underbelly of Hollywood!

Winner Best Documentary: Seattle's "Lucky Charm" Awards
115 minutes, Color/B&W, $19.99

Llana Lloyd will also take Glitter Goddess fan mail from those who remember her old days, or have seen her in her newest incarnation as a motivational speaker.
