JUST KID STUFF

BY POPULAR DEMAND, WE PROUDLY PRESENT THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS FEATURING FAMOUS KID SHOWS FROM THE 1940s AND 1950s!

256 JUST KID STUFF, I

1. HOWDY DOODY (1948). Howdy decides to run for president in this rare classic kinescope.
2. DING DONG SCHOOL (1955). A live kinescope starring Miss Frances (with all the mistakes watch as she almost falls down and breaks her leg). In this show, we'll learn how to make a peanut butter, banana, and lettuce (yucchh!) sandwich. We'll also hear about balloons and hats. If you're 3 years old, you'll learn something. If you're older, you'll think this is the most unintentionally funny excuse for an educational show you've ever seen!
3. TIME FOR BEANY (1953). Here's a real treat an early kinescope from local Los Angeles TV starring the voices of Daws Butler and Stan Freberg. This live puppet show stars Beany, Cecil, and Captain Huffenpuff. The gang searches for a giant white gorilla. This show was the forerunner to the Beany and Cecil cartoons of the 1960s.
--- 110 MINUTES --- $17.99 --- BLACK AND WHITE ---

260 JUST KID STUFF, II

1. KUKLA, FRAN, AND OLLIE (1952). Here's TV's first educational puppet show, broadcast live from Chicago, and complete with original RCA commercials!
2. ROOTIE KAZOOTIE (1953). Live from New York, and complete with original candy bar commercials, this kid show features a puppet named Rootie Kazootie who's dressed as a baseball player, along with his crazy gang of friends, and a live studio audience full of kids who try to steal away a powerful magnet from a puppet named Poison Zoomack. How complicated!
3. HOWDY DOODY (7/2/48). Phineas T. Bluster demands that Doodyville pay him 500 marbles a day for one month, or he will take over the town! It's Buffalo Bob and Howdy to the rescue!
--- 110 MINUTES --- $17.99 --- BLACK AND WHITE ---

263 JUST KID STUFF, III

1. CAPTAIN VIDEO (1949). Direct from the Dumont network, here's the classic series that started the sci-fi craze on TV. The captain and his video rangers are all here, along with Dumont public service spots, network I.D. and cutaways to bad movies while the cast changes costumes. This is camp at its very best and live TV at its worst. If you want to see actors blow their lines and horrid camera shots, you've come to the right place!
2. THE MAGIC CLOWN (1951). This show features a clown that does magic tricks to an audience full of unruly kids. Complete with candy commercials, the whole show is really a plug for the sponsor!
3. CAPTAIN VIDEO (1950). Another unintentionally hilarious episode, complete with Dumont spots, bad acting, bad movie cutaways, and network I.D. No wonder Dumont folded!
--- 110 MINUTES --- $17.99 --- BLACK AND WHITE ---

274 JUST KID STUFF, IV

1. JEFF'S COLLIE (1955). Here's the original TV series with the original TV Lassie. Jan Clayton and Tommy Rettig star. In this episode, one of Jeff's friends claims that Lassie bit him.
2. SENSE AND NONSENSE (2/19/54). Another rare treat a classic children's game show from the Dumont Network, complete with commercials. The show involves using the five senses to identfy common and sometimes slimey household items.
3. DING DONG SCHOOL (7/31/53). Spend another half hour with Miss Frances in your favorite 50s TV schoolroom. Complete with original commercials.
4. SUPER CIRCUS (1954). Another terrrific half hour of trapeze artists, elephants, and clowns, along with sexy Mary Hartline and ringmaster Claude Kirschner. Has original Kellogg's cereal commercials, too!
