2. THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM (12/27/53). Jack thinks he has big plans for New Year's Eve, but he's sadly mistaken. One commercial is included.
1. THE LIBERACE 1953 CHRISTMAS SHOW. Here's a half hour of great vintage Christmas music played by the master pianist himself. As a treat, Lee introduces his entire family, and there's a special visit from Santa Claus!
2. THE PLAYHOUSE - "PAST MEMORIES" (1953). A live dramatic kinescope starring Helen Hayes and Burgess Meredith. Hayes stars as a kleptomaniac who unintentionally takes things from the department store that employs Meredith. He allows her to get away with it until his supervisor catches her in the act.
1. ANNIE OAKLEY (1956). In "Santa Claus Wears a Gun", Gail Davis stars as the west's greatest sharpshooter. A man named Snowy Kringle (a crack shot who looks just like Santa Claus) comes to town. A federal investigator informs Annie that this same man is wanted for murder in another city. Santa a killer?
2. HAPPY NEW YEAR 1958 WITH GUY LOMBARDO AND HIS ROYAL CANADIANS. Live from New York City, it's the famous bandleader and his orchestra ringing in the new year in this fullycomplete 60-minute show, which also contains original commercials. Join Guy as he plays the hit songs of past years and awaits the arrival of 1958. It's all here: the excitement, the fun, and the live cutaways to Times Square! For authenticity, start this show on your VCR at 11:15 p.m. December 31, and when it's midnight, it'll become 1958 on your TV! A collector's item!
3. DRAGNET (1955). For one detective, 1956 won't ever arrive: he's just been shot. Friday and Smith try to find the killer, and then have to tell the victim's wife while she's throwing a big party in "The Big New Year's Eve Cop Killer". Jack Webb and Ben Alexander star.
1. TOP TUNES AND NEW TALENT (12/24/56). A special Christmas episode starring Lawrence Welk and his Champaign Music Makers. Great music, great dancing, great original car commercials.
2. BULOVA WATCH TIME (12/31/51). Here's another rare episode of Frank Sintra's first TV series, complete with original commercials. This one's a special New Year's Eve show with Frank and his guests The Three Stooges, Yvonne De Carlo and Louis Armstrong. The Stooges act as butlers at Frank's New Year's Eve party with disasterous results.
Here are two more 30-minute musical shows from the famous series of the 1950s. They're all here Snooky Lanson, Russell Arms, Giselle Mackenzie, and Dorothy Collins singing the top tunes of the week PLUS special Christmas and New Years tunes, all live from New York City. Complete with original commercials, live air dates are DECEMBER 24 and DECEMBER 31, 1955.
We've had several requests to combine many of our previous Christmas-oriented programs onto one 90-minute tape, and we've done just that. Remember these shows have been previously released on other Shokus cassettes (catalog numbers are listed below).
1. THE GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN SHOW (12/20/51). George and Gracie welcome Gracie's sister and her daughters for the holidays. (From tape #202).
2. SEE IT NOW (12/23/51). The award-winning Edward R. Murrow hosts this special holiday show, which features Christmas greetings "live" from coaxial cable hook-ups around the country, including New York, Hollywood, Omaha, Cincinnati, Chicago and others. Also, warm greetings from our fighting soldiers in Korea. (From tape #435).
3. THE PAUL WINCHELL SHOW (12/17/53). Paul and Jerry Mahoney celebrate the yuletide season as Paul flashes back to his early courting years. (From tape #462).

Join Red for holiday fun in these two hilarious shows. The first is complete with original commercials!
1. THANKSGIVING SHOW (1955). Red recreates the first Thanksgiving, playing John Alden.
2. 1954 CHRISTMAS SHOW. Freddie the Freeloader tries to get himself arrested so he can spend Christmas in a nice, warm jail cell. Allen Jenkins guest stars, too!
Bob Cummings stars in his classic sitcom, with Ann B. Davis, Dwayne Hickman, and Rosemary de Camp.
1. "THANKSGIVING IN JOPLIN" (1957). The gang heads to Missouri to spend Thanksgiving with Grandpa Collins, who's having a tough time getting a turkey fattened up for the feast.
2. "GRANDPA'S XMAS VISIT" (1955). Grandpa Collins travels to Los Angeles for the holidays, and Bob does all he can to keep him from dating his girlfriend. (This episode was previously released on tape #278.)
1. THE RED SKELTON SHOW (1960). Red stars in "Freddie and the Yuletide Doll", in which the Freeloader brings a doll to life.
2. DEAR PHOEBE (1954). Peter Lawford stars as a newspaper columnist in this sitcom, complete with original commercials. In this holiday show, he tries to reunite a boy with his father.
3. LIFE WITH ELIZABETH (1954). Betty White stars in 3 short husband-and-wife sketches. The second deals with hidden Christmas presents.
4. MEET CORLISS ARCHER (1954). The Christmas episode in this series based on the radio show finds the Archers curious about each other's Christmas gifts.
1. CHESTERFIELD SUPPER CLUB Starring PERRY COMO (11/20/49). A rare kinescope featuring Perry and his special guest Raymond Massey, who, in honor of Thanksgiving, gives a patriotic performance as Abraham Lincoln. Complete with cigarette commercials.
2. YOU ASKED FOR IT (1951). A Christmas program featuring host Art Baker, as well as a balloon toy maker doing his thing, marines singing hymns, and two characters recreating a scene from a popular yuletide play. Some commercials included.
3. THE PAT BOONE CHEVY SHOWROOM (12/5/57), also complete with original 1958 car commercials. This show features lots of Christmas music, as well as guests Stubby Kaye and Jimmy Nelson with Danny O'Day and Farfel.
Here are two cop shows, along with two comedy shows to augment your holiday season!
1. THE RUGGLES 1952 CHRISTMAS SHOW, with Charlie and his TV family. It seems everybody only spreads joy and cheer during the holidays, and Charlie's determined to teach his family to be nice all year long. Stars Charlie Ruggles.
2. RACKET SQUAD (1952). In "The Christmas Caper", Reed Hadley tells the story of conmen who take advantage of an elderly man whom they hire as a sidewalk Santa. The money he raises goes into their pockets, and not to charity as he had been told.
3. DATE WITH THE ANGELS (1957). Here's another episode of Betty White's first network TV sitcom. Vicki gets her neighbor Mr. Finlay (Bert Mustin) a job as a department store Santa. Trouble begins when Finlay keeps his promise to the kids by giving them what they want from the store's inventory! Complete with commercials.
4. DRAGNET (1953). Here's the classic episode of "The Big Christmas". Friday and Smith promise the priest of a church that the statue of Baby Jesus will be back by Christmas Eve someone actually stole it from the church!
Here are seven full-length color cartoons from the 1930s and 1940s: "Christmas Comes But Once a Year", "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer", "Somewhere in Dreamland", "Hector's Hectic Life", "Kids in the Shoe", "Jack Frost", and "Snow Fooling".
